A question we are all asking ourselves is does size actually matter when insanity sizing exists? The sizes of the clothes in every store are all pretty different. The belief that you are a medium size everywhere turns out to be inaccurate and misleading. Actually, every brand has based their sizing on their target audience. So if you don’t fit into a retailer’s demographic, your size at their store will probably be different than the size you thought you were.
Let’s imagine that sizes didn’t exist. And we found our clothes based on our body measurements. There would be no judgmental gazes from the shopping assistant when you ask them for a size bigger. No more awkward talks in front of your friends or colleagues talking about jeans size. Fit+inch” is a comfortable and safe environment for women to find clothing that truly fits.
We are all familiar with the struggle of finding that perfect pair of jeans – no matter if we are shopping online, or not. There are just too many styles! Sentences like “I want a straight leg jean, but not too baggy, not too skinny, high-rise, not low-rise” are more than relatable, aren’t they? So here is our magic trick!
Fit+inch” ’s mission is to make this dream a reality! And the only thing we ask YOU to do is to take the time to take your own body measurements. Make it a fun process. Invite your besties over, have a SPA night, watch movies and help each other out. Follow these simple steps and you’ll thank yourself a few new well-fitting pieces of clothing later.
How to properly measure yourself?
- You need a flexible measuring tape.
Measure around the fullest part of the bust, under the armpits.
Wrap the tape measure around the thinnest part of your waist, above your belly button and below your rib cage – where you normally wear pants. Do not suck in your stomach! You want to be comfortable in these new jeans!
Do this while standing up with legs apart. Measure around the largest part of the hips.
This is the distance between the highest inner part of the thigh to the bottom of the ankle. Using the help of a friend, ask them to stretch the measuring tape from your crotch to the bottom of the ankle.
Circle the tape around the biggest part of your thigh.
- Upper arm
Wrap the measuring tape around the largest part of the upper arm.
- Sleeve length
You might need some help with this. Bend your elbow at a 90-degree angle, place your hand on your waist. Start measuring from the neck to the elbow, and then from the elbow to the wrist.
When you take your measurements and have written them down, you are ready to use our platform. Enter your body measurement into your profile and we will provide the best clothing options.
As you know, every brand caters different sizes according to their core customer. So when ordering online, always pay attention to the size chart on the website to make sure you fit the clothing measurements used.
